100 megawatt project in Turkey: future of crypto mining and AI technologies
In July 2024, we presented our project in Turkey, where the construction of a 100-megawatt infrastructure is now taking shape. The data area will be home to thousands of crypto miners in hosting as well as AI-driven systems and industrial servers. In addition to Bitmain's Antspaces and similar modern complete systems, we are primarily focusing on high-tech, optimally air-conditioned buildings between 3 and 10 megawatts.
New in this context are the plans to put a solar system into operation in phase 1 to Q2 2025, which will supply the basic structure of the plant with electricity and thus significantly reduce overall costs. The plan is to continue to promote the use of alternative energies in order to make the plant more and more efficient in the long term. Van in Turkey offers almost ideal conditions for this.
In the next few weeks, we plan to query the requirements of our partners, competitors and major customers from industry and other IT-relevant markets in order to create the structure that is needed in a timely manner. In theory, everything is possible. In relation to crypto mining, both air cooling and emersion and hydrocooling systems are possible. The system is actively maintained 24/7 by around 30 employees on site.
